HOLLAND –The Greater Muskegon co-op swim and dive team topped Holland in OK Conference-Rainbow action on Tuesday evening.

The Turtles swam to 17 personal record swims and won the meet, 105-78.

“I was very happy with our attitude and how we handled both the good swim and not-so-good swim,” said coach Mick Homan.It was also good to see us swim with some fun and energy.”

Delaney Buckner led the way with victories in the 200IM (2:16.44) and 100 free (56.24).

Sydney Sytsema took first place in the 200 free with a personal-best time of 2:14.78.

Naomi Huttenga also posted an individual win in the 500 free with a personal-best time of 6:21.49.

The Turtles also found success in the relay events.

The 200-medley relay team of Sytsema, Huttenga, Buckner and Robyn Hunt won in 2:00.39.

Sytsema, Buckner, Hunt and Marilyn Gaston won the 400 free relay with a time of 4:06.22.

The Turtles (4-2, 2-1) will travel to Calvin University on Saturday for an MISCA meet.
