WHITE CLOUD– The Hart Pirates tuned up for this Friday’s cross country regional competition by sweeping both the boys and girls’ divisions of the Run Around the Cloud meet on Tuesday.

The meet was run at White Cloud Elementary School.

In the girls’ division, Hart swept the top five plays and had seven runners in the top ten to finish with 15 points. The White Cloud Indians came in second place with 57 points while Mason County Central tallied 68 points and finished third.

Hart sophomore Jessica Jazwinski took top honors with a time of 20:00.31. She was followed by her junior teammate, Alyson Enns, who finished with a time of 20:39.17. North Muskegon senior Carolyn Bennett came in third at 21:45.78.

Other top ten runners for Hart included Abigail Pretty (4th), Kenai Kohx (5th), Lauren Pretty (6th), Lilly Hopkins (8th) and Abigail Studer (9th).

The top runner for Mason County Central was freshman Adison Thorne, who finished in seventh place. White Cloud’s top runner was junior Andrea Feldpausch, who finished in 10th place. The top runner for the Holton Red Devils was sophomore Aubrey Goyings in 13th place.

In the boys’ division, the Pirates took the top four spots and finished with 18 points. They were followed by White Cloud with 56 points. North Muskegon came in third place with 79 while Mason County Central finished fourth with 93.

The top four runners for Hart included senior Clayton Ackley, senior Wyatt Dean, senior Seth Ackley and sophomore Max Stitt. Freshman Jack Slotman came in eighth place.

Other top ten runners included Mason County Central senior Gavin Shirey (5th), White Cloud sophomore Coleson Cruzan (6th), North Muskegon senior Meldrum-Roy Jude (7th), White Cloud senior Nathan Ciolk (9th) and White Cloud junior Carson Foondle (10th).

The top runner for Holton was sophomore Elijah Rollf, who finished in 27th place.
