HART — The scores were all close, but Hart defeated visiting Ravenna in three straight sets 27-25, 25-19 and 25-20 in a West Michigan Conference-Rivers match at home Tuesday night.

Ravenna led in the third set before the Pirates came storming back to secure the win.

Kelsey Copenhaver had a consistent match with two aces, seven assists, four kills and five digs. Grace Gamble finished with two aces, seven digs, one kill and one assist.

Mya Chickering contributed five kills, nine digs, one block and one ace. Mariana VanAgtmael had five aces and 10 digs.

Addi Hovey had two aces, seven kills, three blocks and one dig. Gabby Schmieding finished with one block and one dig. Rayah Helenhouse added one assist, one kill, one block and two digs.

Laura Bitely had two digs. MaKayla Rockwell contributed five assists, one kill and one dig.

Hart improved its record to 19-4-4 overall and 3-1 in the conference. The Pirates travel to White Cloud on Thursday.

Ravenna hosts North Muskegon in a conference next Tuesday.
