Jayhawks clinch a share of the MCCAA North Conference title

MUSKEGON –The Muskegon Community College volleyball team clinched a share of the MCCAA North Conference title to close out the regular season on Thursday.

The Jayhawks cruised past Delta College in three sets, 25-13, 25-12, 25-17.

Reilly Murphy led the way with 19 kills, 13 digs and an ace, while Raegan Murphy had 27 assists, seven kills and two aces.

Elena Vaara added 10 kills with six blocks and Leah Ellis had nine digs, four aces and three kills. Kendra Kieft contributed 14 digs on defense.

Muskegon Community College (26-6, 9-1) will travel to Port Huron to open the Region 12 Tournament on Thursday, Nov. 3. The Jayhawks will face the No. 3 seed from the MCCAA East at St. Clair Community College.
