REED CITY–The Kent City Eagles came into Friday night’s game against Reed City undefeated and ranked in the seventh slot in Division 6.

However, they were no match for the Coyotes as Reed City dominated from start to finish and clobbered the Eagles 52-0.

Kent City came into the contest averaging 39 points per game. The Eagles managed only 59 yards of total offense, rushing for 49 yards and passing for only 10 yards.

The Coyotes racked up 373 yards of total offense with 338 of those yards coming from the ground game. Reed City carried the ball 50 times. They added 35 yards through the air.

The Coyotes scored on all six first-half possessions.

Noah Morgan led the Reed City ground game with 13 carries for 116 yards. Bryson Hughes gained 113 yards on 14 attempts.

The host Coyotes jumped all over Kent City scoring four touchdowns in the first quarter and built a 30-0 lead. 

Reed City found the endzone for two more touchdowns in the second quarter and held a commanding 46-0 lead at halftime.

The second half was played with a running clock.

Reed City tacked on one more score in the fourth quarter.

Kent City (6-1) hosts White Pigeon (4-3) next week.

Reed City hosts the Grant Tigers next Friday.
