NORTH MUSKEGON – The North Muskegon boys soccer team shut out Muskegon Catholic Central in the opening round of Division 4 district play on Wednesday evening.

The Norse cruised to the victory, 3-0.

Gabe Lenius led the attack with a goal and an assist, while Dallyn Ellis and Chase Zizak added a goal apiece. Zach Mallon and Cole Johnson each chipped in an assist.

Goalkeeper Leighton Hunt posted the shutout with six saves.

North Muskegon (8-10-3) will play at Western Michigan Christian on Tuesday and take on NorthPointe Christian in the district semifinals. Game time is set for 5 p.m.

Muskegon Catholic Central wrapped up the season with a record of 4-10-3.
