MUSKEGON–The Ludington girls and Fremont boys’ cross country teams captured the top spots at the West Michigan Conference Jamboree on Tuesday.

The meet was run at Orchard View Middle School.

In the girls’ division, Ludington had four runners finish in the top ten and finished with a score of 24 points.

Other team scores included Whitehall (52), Manistee (82), Fremont (90) and Montague (115).

Ludington freshman Christine Theis took top honors with a time of 19:40.56. Her sophomore teammate, Nadia Grierson, came in second place while Manistee junior Cecilia Postma came in third.

Other top ten runners included Arian Treat (Whitehall), Summer Brower (Ludington), Linnea Paige (Fremont), Olivia Andersen (Ludington), Raegan Ruel (Oakridge), Merceydez Patton (Oakridge) and Adalyn Britton (Whitehall).

In the boys’ division, Fremont had four runners finish in the top ten and finished with 36 points.

Other team scores included Ludington (58), Whitehall (59), Manistee (106) and Montague (107).

Whitehall senior Carter Mcllroy took top individual honors with a time of 16:27.90. Fremont junior Sean Pettis finished in second place with a time of 16:47.37 and Ludington Jose Flores finished in third place at 16:54. 65.

Other top ten runners included Carter Sherman (Fremont), Peyton Ruel (Oakridge), Owen Fairchild (Montague), Trey Keson (Ludington), John Christensen (Fremont), Henrik Quist (Fremont) and Jack O’Donnell (Manistee).
