MANISTEE–The Ludington girls cross country team took the top spot at the Manistee Chris Grabowski Memorial Invitational meet on Thursday afternoon.

The meet was run at Manistee High School.

The Orioles finished with 39 points.

Other local team scores and places in the 12-team competition included Manistee (114/3rd), Mason County Eastern (127/6th), White Cloud (235/10th), Mason County Central (266/11th) and Pentwater (324/12th).

Manistee junior Cecilia Postma took top honors with a time of 20:21.66. Ludington sophomore Nadia Grierson finished in third place at 21:03.01 and Mason County Eastern sophomore Lucy Shoup came in fourth place with a time of 21:06.75.

Other top local runners included Summer Brower (Ludington/5th), Christina Theis (Ludington/8th), Autumn Brower (Ludington/10th), Lauren Niedzielski (Mason County Eastern/11th), Olivia Andersen (Ludington/13th), MacKenzie Keillor (Ludington/15th) and Olivia Wing (Mason County Central/19th).

The top runner for Mason County Central was Adison Thorne in 24th place. Andrea Feldpausch was the top runner for White Cloud in 25th place. The top runner for Pentwater was Isabel Lopez in 46th place.

In the boys’ division, Ludington (87 points) finished in second place behind Reed City.

Other local team scores and places included Mason County Eastern (92/3rd), White Cloud (103/4th), Manistee (206/7th), Pentwater (240/10th), Mason County Central (255/11th) and Hesperia (321/12th).

Top local individual runners included Nathan Wing (MCE/4th), Jose Flores (Ludington/5th), Trey Keson (Ludington/6th), David Reisterer (Ludington/13th), Alex Tyndall (MCE/15th), Nathan Ciolk (White Cloud/16th), Coleson Cruzan (White Cloud/17th), Gavin Shirey (MCC/19th) and Luke Senters (Manistee/20th).

Mitchel Daniels was the top runner for Pentwater in 25th place. Stephen Priese led Hesperia in 34th place.
