Mason County Eastern boys take 2nd place at Cecil R Burch Invite

LEROY–The Mason County Eastern boys cross country team finished in second place at the Cecil R. Burch Memorial Cross County Invite on Saturday. The invite was hosted by Pine River high school.

The Cardinals tallied a team score of 66 points finishing behind Reed City who finished with a score of 44 points.

Mason County senior Nathan Wing took top individual honors finishing with a time of 17:35.80. Other top runners for Mason County Eastern included sophomore Alex Tyndall who (11th) and junior Peter Hybza (15th).

In the girls division Mason County Eastern finished in fourth place with a team score of 94,

Top runners for the Cardinals included sophomore Lucy Shoup who finished in second place with a time of 22:18.70. Other top runners for Mason County Eastern included freshman Lauren Niedzielski (9th) and Olivia Wing (13th).
