ZEELAND–It was a rough day for local cross country teams at the OK Green Conference Cross Country Meet on Wednesday afternoon.

The event was run at Helder Park in Zeeland.

The Mona Shores girls team finished in third place with a score of 71 while Reeths-Puffer finished the day with a team score of 133 which was good enough for a fifth place finish.

The top individual runners for the Sailors included Ellery Horness (4th), Robyn Hunt (8th), Destiny Douglas (15th), Lilly Houle (20th) and Kendall Braginton (24th).

Top runners for the Rockets included Jersi Bilek (11th), Adrienne Fluette (27th), Eva Shinabery (29th), Alison Jakobi (32nd) and Keeley Cole (34th).

In the boys division Reeths-Puffer finished with 92 points good enough for a fourth place finish while Mona Shores came in fifth place with 94 points. Muskegon finished in eighth place with 244 points.

Top runners for the Rockets included Jaxson Allen (9th), Kye Grant (15), Tate Bradley (19th), Jack Yonkman (24th) and Jamie Neel (25th).

Top runners for the Sailors included Caleb Branch (3rd), Will Parsekian (17th), Aidan Kreps (20th), Vaire Vanderwalle (22nd) and Collin Khatir (32nd).

David Day was the top runner for Muskegon with a 46th place finish.
