MONTAGUE – The Montague volleyball team split its volleyball tri-match on Wednesday.

The Wildcats battled with NorthPointe Christian, but fell in five sets, 25-14, 16-25, 16-25, 25-21, 7-15. Montague bounced back with a solid three-set victory over Calvin Christian, 25-9, 25-22, 25-18.

Laura Borras led the way with 22 digs, 20 kills and five aces, while Anastasia Trevino added 20 kills and four blocks.

Britta Johnson had 13 kills with five digs. Alissa Wynn chipped in 26 digs and six aces. Jordan Netcott also contributed 20 digs and two aces.

Montague (24-22-1) will face Oakridge at Fruitport on Tuesday (Nov. 1) to kick off district action.
