CENTREVILLE — Defense was the name of the game for the Muskegon Catholic Crusaders on Friday night.

The Crusader defense stood tall all game long and led the Crusaders to a 14-6 victory over Centreville.

After a scoreless first half, the Crusaders got on the board in the third quarter on a 13-yard run by Bryan Convertini. He later added a 1-yard touchdown run and the 2-point conversion to account for all of MCC’s points. He rushed 21 times for 110 yards. David Hill added 13 carries for 70 yards.

The defense allowed just one score to the hosts.

Sam Kartes led the defensive effort for the Crusaders with 13.5 tackles.

Muskegon Catholic completes the regular season next Friday night at Howard City Tri-County.
