MUSKEGON HEIGHTS–Muskegon Heights could not contain the Carson City-Crystal offense, falling 59-12.

The Eagles got off to a hot start, 15-0 at the end of the first quarter.

Muskegon Heights scored two consecutive touchdowns to cut the lead to three, 15-12. G’Nari Davis connected with Jamarea Jackson on a 75-yard touchdown pass. Less than a minute later, Marquan Paggett recovered and returned a fumble 31 yards.

The Eagles were able to score two more times before the half to expand the halftime lead to 30-12. One more touchdown in the third opened made it 38-12 at the end of the third quarter.

Davis was the leading rusher for the Tigers with 10 carries for 31 yards. Davis also completed 4-of-15 passing attempts for 134 yards and a touchdown. Jackson was the leading receiver with one reception on the 75-yard touchdown.

Muskegon Heights (0-8) travels to McBain next week.
