MONTAGUE–Oakridge sprinted past the Montague Wildcats for a 45-7 victory on Friday night in the regular-season finale.
Oakridge quarterback Matt Danicek ran 10 times for 82 yards and a touchdown and completed 11-of-20 passes for 191 yard and three more touchdowns to lead the Eagles. Trever Jones ran 14 times for 73 yards and a touchdown. The leading receiver for the Eagles was Chris Knapp with two receptions for 62 yards and two touchdowns.
For the Wildcats, Chase Gowell completed 10-of-26 passes for 113 yards. Austin Cook led Montague on the ground with 14 carries for 74 yards. Isaiah Atchison led Montague in receiving with five catches for 87 yards.
Oakridge finishes the regular season with a record of 8-1, 5-1 in the West Michigan Conference Lakes. That was second place to Whitehall.
Montague ends the season 3-6, 2-4.
