LUDINGTON–For the second consecutive week, the Orchard View Cardinals varsity football team will not be able field enough healthy players and have been forced to forfeit a game.

Friday’s game was scheduled to be played at Ludington. Last week, the Cardinals forfeited to Oakridge.

With the forfeit, Ludington improves to 4-2 in the West Michigan Conference-Lakes, 6-2 overall.

Orchard View, meanwhile, is now 0-5 in the West Michigan Conference-Lakes, 0-8 overall.

Ludington will complete the regular season on Friday, Oct. 21 by hosting a nonleague game against Mason County Central. 

Things don’t get any easier for Orchard View as they are scheduled to host undefeated and state ranked Whitehall on Friday, October 21 to conclude the regular season.

Game time for both games is set for 7 p.m.
