LUDINGTON–Ludington junior Parker Wendt has been chosen as one of two players to be named Local Sports Journal player of the month for September.

Through Sept. 21, Wendt leD the Orioles with 20 goals and has added 8 assists.

“Parker is having a phenomenal season for us this year,” Ludington coach Kris Anderson said. “He is creating numerous scoring opportunities not only for himself, but for many other players on the team.

His 20 goals is tops on the team and his eight assists is among the team leaders.

“Parker has always been a scoring threat, but his crucial assists are making him an even more effective part of the offense this year,” Anderson said. “He is consistently making key passes and putting the defense on its heels in order to create additional space for his teammates to score, along with opportunities for his own critical shots on the net.”

Parker is the son of Cory and Shannon Wendt. He has a 3.507 grade-point-average.
