ZEELAND –The Mona Shores volleyball team won the OK-Green tournament on Tuesday with a three-sets victory over Zeeland East.
The Sailors (8-2 in the league) showcased strong play all around and took down Zeeland East 25-17, 26-24, 25-18.
“Every girl on our team played an integral part in our success tonight,” said coach Kathy Hellmann.
Ava Dunn chipped in with 10 kills and three blocks,while Kyann Hellmann added 25 assists, 10 digs and two blocks.
Jersey VanderWall contributed seven kills and two blocks. Izzy Sturtevant and Ali Trautner each had 13 digs.
Mona Shores (24-9) will host to Holland Christian and West Catholic in a double dual on Thursday.
