SHELBY — Shelby celebrated Senior Night with a 3-0 victory over visiting Manistee in a non-conference volleyball match at home Thursday.

Shelby won 25-6, 25-16, 25-8.

“It was a great night for the team,” Shelby coach Tom Weirich said. “We were able to honor our parents and seniors, as they put so much time into our program. On the court, the girls were business as usual. They served tough, racking up 21 aces and hit .278 as a team. We win a lot of matches with that combination.”
Navea Gauthier led the Tigers to the West Michigan Conference crossover victory. Gauthier finished the match with 15 kills from the attack line, scored 16 service points, with seven aces, and also contributed seven digs on defense.
Morgan Weirich topped the Tigers at the service line with 17 points, which included five aces.  She also had 14 digs.
Audrey Horton led the Tigers with 19 assists and Brylee Friedman had three kills.

The Tigers (25-7-2, 7-0) heads into the WMC Rivers division tournament on Saturday at Hesperia.
