MUSKEGON–The biggest high school football game in the area has finally arrived.

The Mona Shores Sailors, undefeated in the OK-Green, travel across town to face the Muskegon Big Reds, who come into the game with one league loss. The big question to be answered is … can the Sailors win the league title outright or share it with others?

That question will be answered about 9:30 p.m. on Friday at historic Hackley Stadium in front of what is expected to be a packed house.

Around the area, another game that will be drawing their share of interest will be played in the OK-Blue.

A league title is on the line at Fruitport, where the Trojans host the Holland Christian Maroons. A share of the OK-Blue title is at stake.

After Friday, area teams will be glued to the MHSAA Selection Show on Sunday night. The show will be live on Bally Sports Detroit beginning at 6 p.m. That’s when area teams will find out their fate regarding this year’s playoffs.
