HOLLAND — The Western Michigan Christian Warriors captured a 3-0 soccer victory over Howardsville Christian on Wednesday night.

The victory earns the Warriors a spot in the 10 a.m. Saturday Division 4 regional final game against Hartford, a winner over Grandville Calvin Christian in the first semifinal game played on Wednesday night. Saturday’s title game will be played at Holland Christian High School.

The Warriors (13-8-2) controlled the ball for much of the contest and built a 2-0 lead in the opening half.

Jake Hwang got WMC on the board with a goal 12 minutes into the first half. About 6 minutes later, Matthew Bradford-Royle beat two defenders and fired a shot off the goalkeeper and into the net.

WMC kept up the pressure, and the ball possession, in the second half.

With 1:37 remaining in the game, Charlie Buursma tapped in a shot from close range to cap the scoring.
