NORTON SHORES –The Western Michigan Christian volleyball team topped Fruitport Calvary Christian in three sets on Friday evening.

The Warriors claimed the win, 25-15, 25-16 and 25-21.

WMC’s Kendal Young had 27 assists and five aces, while Emily Fett scored three aces and made three assists.

Sydney Wagenmaker chipped in three kills and tallied two aces.

Ella Dykman led the Eagles with 11 kills, four digs, three blocks and an ace.

Marissa Tyler followed with 19 assists, four digs and an ace. Kamea Sutherland also contributed with six digs, five kills and an ace.

Western Michigan Christian will compete in a tournament at Livonia on Saturday (Oct. 1).

Calvary Christian (2-7, 0-3) will be at home on Tuesday to face Zion Christian.
