Fruitport falls to Grand Rapids West Catholic in regional finals

COMSTOCK PARK – The Fruitport volleyball team fell to Grand Rapids West Catholic in the Division 2 regional finals on Thursday evening.

The Trojans couldn’t overcome West Catholic and fell in three sets, 20-25, 17-25, 8-25.

Auebre Johnson had eight digs and four kills, while Gracelynn Olson added 13 assists and 11 digs.

Sadie Haase chipped in four kills and Lauren Riedel had 10 digs and a pair of aces. Kayla Kolberg also contributed with 20 digs on defense.

Fruitport closes down the season’s action with a record of 17-26.
