FRUITPORT–The Calvary Christian Eagles girls’ basketball team fell to Byron Center Zion Christian 59-27 on Thursday evening in a non-league contest.

The Mountaineers led 11-5 after the first quarter of action and extended that lead to 25-13 by halftime.

Zion Christian outscored host Calvary Christian 24-6 in the third quarter and 10-8 in the final eight minutes.

McKena Wilson led the Eagles with 16 points while grabbing eight rebounds and coming up with a pair of steals and assists.

Zion Christian was led by Brieanna Alsum with a game-high 18 points. Josie Doezema chipped in 12 points

Calvary is now 0-3 on the season.
