FRUITPORT — The Fruitport Trojans made quick work of the Fruitport Calvary Christian Eagles in the boys’ basketball opener for both teams on Tuesday night.

The Trojans captured a 73-36 victory.

“Coach Jim Warren said that’s the best Fruitport team he’s seen in 20 years and I’m not going to disagree with him, they should win a lot of games with those athletes,” said Calvary coach Brad Richards. “Credit Coach Erny, they dominated us in every area of the game.”

Bradley Richards led Calvary with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Ben Pollock had six assists and Gabe VanBaale had six points and six rebounds.

Calvary will host Holton on Friday night.
