MANISTEE –The Fruitport Calvary Christian boys basketball team fell short against Frankfort at the Manistee Catholic Central Christmas Tournament on Wednesday.

The Eagles lost, 61-57.

Calvary Christian won or tied each of the first three quarters but missed free throws and turnovers down the stretch and fell behind.

“We need to find a way to help our guys finish strong, our boys looked very good through three quarters,” said head coach Brad Richards.

“Give Frankfort credit, they play hard, but we gave them this game”, Richards commented.

Bradley Richards led the way with a double-double scoring 18 points and while grabbing 10 rebounds for the Eagles. 

Quinn Swanson also added 18 points while Sam Zelenka had 10 assists, eight points and five steals.

Fruitport Calvary Christian (2-2) will compete in the consolation game Thursday to close out the tournament
