GRAND RAPIDS – The Fruitport bowling team split their season opener against West Catholic at the Clique on Monday evening.

The boys cruised to victory with a score of 27-3. Brandon Krohn led the way with games of 226 and 182, while Gage Wadland bowled 188 and 198.

Jray Conklin chipped in with a game of 176.

The Trojans’ girl’s squad fell in a 28-2 loss, in part to an extremely limited roster.

Brynna Hanson led the Trojans with games of 215 and 192. Raegan Dykstra followed with games of 154 and 191. Lil Borntreger contributed with scores of 80 and 83.

Fruitport (0-0-1) will host Coopersville at Northway Lanes on Wednesday.
