DEARBORN — Grand Haven boys basketball coach Greg Immink saw a lot of good things from his team on Tuesday night.

After a long trip to Dearborn, the Buccaneers turned in a solid performance, especially on defense, and gained a 64-45 victory over Dearborn.

“We played really well defensively,” Immink said. “They have a nice team and they play hard. They have good shooters, but we took away their 3-point shots.” Grand Haven also was solid in the rebounding department.

Grand Haven led 24-13 at the half.

Harrison Sorrelle led Grand Haven with 24 points. Nate Stump added 12 and Kyler Cotton had 11 points.

Grand Haven (2-0) will host Saginaw Arthur Hill on Tuesday.
