Grant sprints past winless Holton in boys basketball action

HOLTON–The Grant Tigers blitzed Holton out of the gate in a 59-20 win on Tuesday night.

“I’m looking forward to seeing more resilience from our team for the rest of the season,” said Holton coach Keith Swanson.

Grant’s Oakley Obernauf led all scorers with 13 points. Austin Whitney chipped in 10 points. Lucas Swanson added nine points.

For the Red Devils, Brodrick Fialek scored nine points and had seven rebounds. Chase Albright also had seven rebounds.

Grant (3-1, 1-0) travels to Reed City on Friday for a conference clash.

Holton (0-3) hosts Mason County Central on Thursday for their WMC-Rivers conference opener.
