Montague results
HOLLAND-The Montague wrestling team used a tie-breaking finish to go 1-1 in a dual meet on Wednesday evening.
The Wildcats fell to host West Ottawa, 54-27, but topped Godwin Heights with a tie breaker, 37-36.
Savannah Winkleblack, Jimmy Thommen, Fletcher Thommen, Isaac Falk, Tristan Winkleblack, Michael Moore, Natalie Bassett and Maverick Osborne all went undefeated.
Montague will hit the road for the Hemlock Invitational on Saturday at Hemlock High School.
Mona Shores Results
WYOMING –The Mona Shores wrestling squad opened the season with a 1-1 finish in a meet on Wednesday evening.
The Sailors fell to Hamilton 54-21, but cruised past Wyoming, 65-12.
Anthony Cage (132), Gavyn Stout (157) and Mario Curiel (106) were 2-0 on the night.
Mona Shores hosts a tournament on Saturday.
Muskegon Results
GRAND RAPIDS –The Muskegon wrestling team split their season opener in a quad meet at Grand Rapids Union on Wednesday evening.
The Big Reds were blanked by Allendale, 79-0, but claimed a win over host Grand Rapids Union, 55-30.
Leech Crosby, Tobias Melton, Joshua Coleman, Dakar Genson, Tyrique Keyes, Tijaunyeh Keyes, Nyzirre Wynn and Mario Totten went 1-1. Seth Harris also posted a win for the Big Reds.
Muskegon will compete in the Forest Hills Eastern Invitational on Saturday.
