WYOMING –The Western Michigan Christian girls basketball team fell to Potter’s House on Friday evening.

The Warriors came out with high energy in the opening quarter but fizzled out and fell, 48-30.

“Potter’s House took control of the tempo in the second quarter with some tight defense,” said WMC head coach Sarah Koetsier. “We worked to adjust to this defense and did our best to recover in the second half.”

“I am proud of our efforts to recover from the second quarter.”

The Warriors led 10-8 in the first quarter before losing momentum and falling behind 22-12 at halftime.

Ashley Folkema led WMC with 12 points and also pulled down seven rebounds. Maria Eenigenburg grabbed nine rebounds, made seven steals and scored six points.

WMC (1-3) will be at home on Thursday and will host West Michigan Aviation Academy.
