FRUITPORT–Four Fruitport Trojans scored in double figures on Tuesday night in a 70-55 victory over the Comstock Park Panthers in non-conference action.

The Trojans offensive explosion started with a 16-7 first-quarter lead. The lead ballooned to 38-20 at halftime. Fruitport led 57-37 at the end of three.

“We were able to get off to a good start tonight, which was really important,” said Fruitport coach Steve Erny. “We rebounded very well as a team on both ends of the floor, which is something we’ve been emphasizing lately, so it was great to see the team improve in that area. This was a balanced, team effort tonight.”

Bode Anspach led the Trojans in scoring with 14 points, four steals and four assists. DayDay Williams tallied 13 points. Collin Jolman added 11 points and nine boards. Ryan Bosch also had 11 points. Andrew Spyke contributed eight points and 12 boards. Paschal Jolman added six points.

Fruitport (8-5, 4-3) will travel to Holland Christian on Friday.

“Now we focus our attention on the second half of the conference schedule,” Erny said.
