GRAND RAPIDS — Lexie Bowers scored a career-high 34 points and topped 1,000 for her career and led Kent City past Fowler, 66-52, in girls’ basketball Tuesday night.

The game was played at Aquinas College.

Bowers connected on 6-of-13 from beyond the 3-point arc, pulled down nine rebounds, had three blocks and two assists in another solid performance.
 
Maddie Geers had a big night with 22 points, 12 rebounds, four assists and two blocks. Savannah Miller added five points and four rebounds.
 
The Eagles forged a 12-point halftime lead, 37-25, and kept up the pressure throughout the second half.
 
Kent City (7-2, 2-0) won its fifth straight game. The Eagles battle Morley- Stanwood, which is 3-0 in the league, in a home game Friday night.
 
Fowler fell to 5-4.
