MUSKEGON–The Muskegon Lady Big Reds remained undefeated in OK-Green action with a 38-27 victory over the Mona Shores Sailors on Friday.

The game was played at Redmond-Potter Gymnasium.

With the win, Muskegon sits alone at the top of the league with a 7-0 record.

The Big Reds surged to a 12-5 lead after the first quarter. Mona Shores narrowed the gap to 18-13 at the half.

Muskegon had an 11-8 scoring advantage in the third and 9-6 in the fourth.

Ty’Veonna Davis led the Big Reds scoring attack with a game-high 19 points while Bre’asia Gamble-Jones tossed in nine points.

Khaleeya Cook had a team-high 14 points for Mona Shores while Laynie Russell chipped in eight points.

Muskegon (9-5, 7-0) will host Traverse City on Tuesday.

Mona Shores (9-6, 4-3) will travel to Holland next Friday.
