SPRING LAKE — There was no stopping the Spring Lake Laker girls on Tuesday night in a 66-27 victory over visiting Western Michigan Christian.

The Lakers jumped out to a 17-1 lead and never look back. Spring Lake led 19-6 after one quarter and 29-10 at the half. The Lakers came out strong after halftime and outscored the Warriors, 37-17.

It was a total team effort for Spring Lake (7-6, 3-4 OK-Blue). Alexa Carter had 14 points and nine rebounds, followed by Ellie Wrona with 11 points. Nia Theune also reached double figures with 10 points. Tessa Britt had eight points and si rebounds, Clara Saunders had four points, three rebounds and three assists. 

The Warriors (7-7) were led by junior Ashley Folkema with 19 points.
 
Spring Lake will host Coopersville on Friday.
 
Western Michigan Christian will host Oakridge on Friday.
