RAVENNA — Ravenna’s boys basketball team overcame a first half deficit and rallied for a 49-40 non-conference win over visiting Manistee on Tuesday night.

Ravenna trailed 8-4 at the end of the first quarter and despite outscoring the Chippewas, 7-6 in the second, the Bulldogs trailed, 14-11 at the half.
 
The Bulldogs continued to trail through the third quarter as Manistee held a 31-24 lead going into the fourth.

Ravenna dominated the fourth, 25-9 to pull out the win.

 
Blake Homoly led the Bulldogs with 12 points while adding five assists. Caleb Forsythe followed him with 10 points and two steals.
 
Carter Schullo and Wyatt Young scored eight points apiece for the Bulldogs. Schullo also hauled down nine rebounds.
 
Ben Schlaff had 11 points to lead Manistee. Jeff Huber finished with nine points on three 3-point field goals.
 
Ravenna snapped a three-game losing streak and improved to 2-5 overall. The Bulldogs host Hesperia on Thursday night in a West Michigan Conference Rivers Division game.
 
­Manistee dropped to 0-7 on the season and travels to Ludington for a West Michigan Conference Lakes Division matchup with the undefeated Orioles.
