HART — After more than a month on the road, the Hart boys basketball team finally played a game in the friendly confines of its own gym Tuesday night.

 
Playing a loose, attacking game, the Pirates cruised to an 85-31 West Michigan Conference Rivers Division victory over Hesperia to improve to 10-0 on the season.
 
Familiar names graced the stat sheets for the Pirates, with Parker Hovey recording another double-double with 33 points and 11 assists while clearing down eight rebounds.
 
Hart junior Blake Weirich burned the Panthers defense for 26 points and gathered in seven rebounds while senior Diego Escamilla swished three 3-point baskets for nine points and his freshman brother Miguel had four rebounds and three steals to go with three points.
 
Another senior, Kyan Clark recorded three steals, three rebounds and four points.
 
The Pirates improved to 5-0 in the conference and will host the Holton Red Devils (0-10, 0-4
WMC Rivers) in the conference Friday night.
 
Hesperia (2-8, 1-4 WMC Rivers) travels to Mason County Central (8-1, 4-1 WMC Rivers) Friday night for a conference game.
