KENT CITY–The Kent City Eagles boys’ used balanced scoring in a 76-60 victory over Grand Rapids Wellspring Prep on Tuesday.

Four Eagles reached double figures in scoring.

“This win feels way more like a loss,” Kent City coach Dave Ingles said. “We didn’t execute on the defensive end at all. Low energy and lack of focus made this game much closer than it should have been.”

Kent City led after the first quarter, 16-14. The Eagles pulled away in the second quarter, 39-27. Kent City continued to build the lead in the second half with a 60-44 lead at the end of the third quarter.

Jaret Jaramillo had a team-high 18 points for the Eagles. Seth Vanderwest added 15 points. Will Harrison had 14 points while Kyler Larson contributed 10 points.

Kent City (4-3, 2-1) hosts Reed City on Friday.
