KENT CITY– The Kent City Eagles went on the road and earned a hard fought 56-48 victory over the Morley-Stanwood Mohawks on Friday night.

The Eagles trailed by a single point after one quarter and tied it at 32-all at the half. Kent City pulled ahead by two points, 40-38, heading into the final quarter.  The Eagles gained a little breathing room in the final eight minutes for the final margin of victory.

“Our defensive effort was not good in the first half and Morley made a lot of shots,” Kent City coach Dave Ingles said. “The second half we played much better and rebounded well and were able to slowly pull away.”

Jaret Jaramillo led the Eagles with 24 points and Kyler Larson had 11 points.
