SHELBY — Mona Shores got off to a fast start and never slowed down in dispatching Shelby 61-26 Tuesday night.

The Sailors built a 12-4 lead after the first quarter and led 24-8 at the half.

Mona Shores outscored the Tigers, 25-13 in the third quarter and rolled into the fourth with a 49-21 lead. 

Khaleey Cook hit four 3-point baskets and finished with 19 points for the Sailors. Ali Phillips also had four triples and scored 18 points while Lauren Hylland added seven points.

Molli Schultz scored 12 points for Shelby.

Mona Shores (5-3) won its third straight game. The Sailors resume OK Conference Green Division action by hosting Holland on Friday night.

Shelby (4-4) hosts Holton in a West Michigan Conference Rivers Division on Thursday.
