MONTAGUE–The Montague Wildcats boys’ basketball team blitzed the Ravenna Bulldogs out of the gate and cruised to a 66-37 victory on Tuesday evening.
Montague began the game on a 13-4 run to end the first quarter. The Wildcats led 34-14 at halftime. Montague maintained a 20-point lead going into the fourth quarter, 45-25.
The Wildcats controlled the rebounding battle with a 59-30 advantage.
“It was a good team win tonight,” Montague coach David Osborne said. “Our effort and energy was as good as it’s been all year and we continue to improve each game.”
Owen Raeth led Montague with 18 points and five rebounds. Isaiah Atchison tallied 12 points and 10 rebounds. Rodney Brassfield added 12 points and seven rebounds. Braedon Johnston contributed 10 rebounds and Paul Olson had eight rebounds and four assists.
Montague (7-5, 4-2) will travel to Mason County Central next Tuesday.
Ravenna (4-8, 3-3) travels to Fremont on Thursday.
