MUSKEGON–The No. 3-ranked Muskegon Big Reds boys’ basketball team wasted little time on Tuesday evening in extending their winning streak.

The Big Reds, who compete in Division 1, won their 11th straight game as they clobbered the Holland Dutch, 74-25, in an OK-Green contest at Redmond-Potter Gymnasium.

Ten Big Reds found the scoring column early and often against the Dutch.

Senior Anthony Sydnor III had a game-high 16 points. He was followed by senior teammate Jordan Briggs with 15 points while Elija Langston chipped in 13 points.

Muskegon scored the first seven points of the game and went on a 14-3 run to start the game. They led 21-6 by the end of the first quarter. Holland hit two 3-point field goals to account for their points. Sydnor III had the hot hand for the Big Reds with 10 points in the period.

Briggs took over in the second stanza by scoring eight points as Muskegon extended their lead to 40-13 by the half with a 19-7 scoring bulge in the quarter.

Muskegon continued the rout with a 21-2 advantage in the third quarter and closed out the final eight minutes with a 13-10 fourth quarter.

The Big Reds (11-0, 6-0) will head over to Mona Shores on Friday evening.
