GRAND RAPIDS – The North Muskegon girls basketball team held off West Michigan Aviation Academy on Friday evening.
The Norse came out on top, 39-33.
The teams opened the action with a 22-22 tie after one half.
The Norse remained persistent and managed to slowly build a lead in the third quarter, 27-24.
Grace Philpot helped ensure the win in the fourth quarter as she made three free throws down the stretch.
Francine Vinson led with nine points, eight rebounds and four steals. Emma Buchmiller scored seven points and had three assists.
North Muskegon (2-5, 1-3) will host to White Cloud on Monday.
