Oakridge surges to big lead, routs Calvary Christian in girls hoops

MUSKEGON — The host Oakridge Eagles stormed out of the gate on Friday night and defeated Fruitport Calvary Christian, 50-27.

The Eagles led 10-0 after one quarter and 28-8 at the half. Oakridge outscored Calvary 22-19 in the second half.

Anna Lundquist led Oakridge with 12 points. Mallori Whipple added 10.

McKena Wilson led Calvary with 19 points, five rebounds and three steals.

Oakridge (9-3, 4-2) will host Manistee on Tuesday evening.

Calvary Christian (2-7, 0-0) will travel to Saugatuck on Tuesday evening.
