MUSKEGON –The Orchard View bowling team had a good showing against Montague in their West Michigan Conference battle on Wednesday.

The girls dropped both Baker games, but rallied in individual play to tie the Wildcats, 15-15.

Lacey Claflin led the Cardinals with a 284 series while Zariah Burt added a 258 series. Brianna Green chipped in with 201 series.

The Wildcats’ Ava Betts posted a 248 series and Luna Pruitt had a 242 series. Marie Ross rounded out their top three with a 213 series.

The boys’ squad blew past the Wildcats, 28-2.

Corbin Tenbrink earned the evening’s highest series with a 329. Ashton Tjapkes and Jeremy Boughton contributed 329 and 310 series, respectively.

Carson Johnston led the Wildcats with 315 and Matt Leatherman had a 304. Bryton Belinger tossed a 295 series.

Orchard View will take on Western Michigan Christian on Friday at Northway Lanes.

Montague is set to compete in the Reeths-Puffer Invitational at Northway Lanes on Saturday.
