FRUITPORT — Bradley Richards scored 34 points and Quinn Swanson scored a career-high 21 and led the Fruitport Calvary Christian Eagles to an 82-51 victory over Calhoun Christian.

Last week was a tough one for the Eagles with tough losses against Mason Central and Tri-Unity Christian.

Friday was a different story.

“When you get knocked down, you can lay there feeling sorry for yourself or you can get back up and fight,” said Calvary coach Brad Richards.  “We are proud of our boys for their response to adversity and we have more work to do.”
 
Richards also had 11 rebounds and six assists. Swanson added six assists as well. Gabe VanBaale added 11 points and point guard Sam Zelenka had nine points, nine assists and five steals. 
 
Calhoun Christian, who dropped to 5-3 on the season, were led by Josh Andren with 13 points.
 
Calvary Christian (4-4) has a makeup game next Wednesday at Fennville at 6 p.m.
