SPRING LAKE — The Spring Lake Lakers hosted league-leading Hamilton on Friday night and fell just short, 51-48.
The Lakers were dominant in the opening half and raced to a 27-19 lead at the half. However, Hamilton’s experience kicked in during the second half and the result was a come-from-behind victory.
Spring Lake was led by Ella Andree with 17 points and seven rebounds. Brooke Bolthouse had 12 points and five assists. Alexa Carter added nine points and four rebounds. Tessa Britt grabbed five rebounds.
Hamilton was led by Taylor VanderZwaag with 15 points.
Spring Lake (4-5, 1-4) hosts Fruitport next Tuesday.
