FRUITPORT– The Fruitport Calvary Christian girls basketball team outscored West Michigan Aviation Academy by 11 points in the pivotal quarter and finished with a 53-38 Alliance League victory on Tuesday evening.

The game was tied at 7-7 at the end of the first quarter before the Eagles took a 17-14 lead into the half. The Eagles struck for 20 points in the third quarter to take a 37-23 lead.

McKena Wilson poured in 22 points to lead Calvary Christian and added six rebounds and five steals. Kamea Sutherland tallied 13 points and five rebounds. Ava Wilson had 10 points. Nora Pollock contributed with an unusual double-double with 12 rebounds and 11 assists while also recording six points and five steals.

Fruitport Calvary (5-9, 1-1) hosts Grand Rapids Wellspring Prep on Friday.
