NORTON SHORES –The Whitehall girls basketball team rallied from a halftime deficit on Tuesday evening and came from behind to beat Western Michigan Christian, 42-35

Whitehall led 9-8 edge after the first quarter of action. The Warriors outscored Whitehall 14-9 in the second stanza to take a 22-18 halftime lead. 

Whitehall regained the lead by the end of the third quarter outscoring Western Michigan Christian 11-6 in the period to take a 29-28 lead into the fourth quarter.

Whitehall secured the win during the final eight minutes of action with a 13-7 scoring advantage.

The Warriors’ Ashley Folkema had another strong night with a double-double scoring 26 points,  and grabbing 13 rebounds and coming up with  five steals. Brooklyn Watts pulled down seven rebounds.

Western Michigan Christian (7-6) will travel to Spring Lake on Tuesday, January 31st.

Whitehall (8-5, 3-4) will play host to Montague on Friday in West Michigan Conference-Lakes play.
