Whitehall surges to lopsided basketball victory over WM Christian

WHITEHALL — The host Whitehall Vikings used a 43-6 scoring advantage in the middle two quarters to rout Western Michigan Christian 76-33 on Tuesday night.

The Vikings led 20-14 after one quarter, but runs of 23-4 in the second quarter and 21-2 in the third quarter put the game away for the Vikings.

Camden Thompson led Whitehall with 23 points and 11 rebounds. DJ Jamison added 12 points and five rebounds. Jack Houtteman had 11 points and five assists. Jack McDowell had four steals.

Whitehall (9-4, 5-1) hosts Montague on Friday.

Western Michigan Christian (2-10) hosts Orchard View on Friday.
