KENT CITY–Kent City, led by senior Lexi Bowers, celebrated Senior Night in grand fashion on Friday night.
 
As she has done so many times during her career, Bowers led the way in the Eagles’ 73-33 victory over Grant. Bowers poured in 32 points to spark the Eagles.
 
Just for good measure, Bowers dished out nine assists, grabbed eight rebounds, came up with five steals and had two blocked shots.

Her junior teammate, Maddie Geers, scored 22 points and hauled down a team-high 10 rebounds and had three blocked shots. Savannah Miller chipped in five points, four rebounds and three steals.
 
Kent City jumped out of the gate to a 21-9 lead after the first quarter and went into the halftime break with a commanding 42-19 lead.

The Eagles kept the offensive momentum going in the second half and extended their lead to 56-27 by the end of the third period.

Grant was led by junior Julie Ashbaugh with 12 points.
 
Kent City (17-3, 9-1) will host a first-round Central State Activities Association playoff game on Tuesday evening. The time and opponent has yet to be announced.
 
Grant (13-7, 6-4) also wil play a first-round Central State Activities Association playoff game on Tuesday evening. The time, site  and opponent have yet to be announced.
